Although the actual history of what transpired long ago has never been truly documented, the limited information that has emerged is being revised to portray the aggressors in a less sinister light. It is the responsibility of every living descendant of the enslaved to ensure that your family’s history is not erased and dismissed, as if they never existed, never lived, and never had any worth.
